NAMI LANSING CENTER CITY ART DISPLAY
The display case is located at 200 Albert Ave. in the causeway between Albert Ave. and the north entrance to Target. The Case is 30’ long, 5’ tall, 10” deep, and will hold approximately 30 pieces of artwork. This is a new facility located in a bustling shopping, dining, and high rise residential area adjacent to the MSU campus.

The display case is located at 200 Albert Ave. in the causeway between Albert Ave. and the north entrance to Target. The Case is 30’ long, 5’ tall, 10” deep, and will hold approximately 30 pieces of artwork. This is a new facility located in a bustling shopping, dining, and high rise residential area adjacent to the MSU campus.
**Artist's selected for exhibitions … due to space limitations not all work selected may be shown in the case, however all the pieces can be viewed virtually in NAMI-Lansing’s online gallery namilansing.org/ccart
NAMI LANSING: NAMI Lansing reaches out with compassion to persons with mental illness and their families to connect them to resources, support, and hope. NAMI Lansing exists to educate people of the need for research, system reform, and improved supports for those with mental illness and their families NAMI Lansing exists to advocate for legal and policy changes that would improve the lives of those with mental illness and their families. NAMI Lansing promotes research about mental illness and the application of research to improve the lives of families and individuals.
Center City Art Display is part of NAMI Lansing’s fundraising strategy.
CURATORS: A panel of a NAMI-Lansing representative and two other local area artists.
EXHIBITIONS: Each exhibition will be up for 8 weeks in themed exhibits. All artists are invited & encouraged to personally attend receptions.
SUBMISSIONS: Submissions will be reviewed by the curators for quality of work, size limitations, and thematic interpretation. A comprehensive and detailed submission will include no more than 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement. Early applications are encouraged as entries are reviewed at deadline. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS
ACCEPTED ARTWORK: 2D work. Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture (bas-relief), Glass, Fiber, Digital, Photography, mixed media and New Genres.
SPECIFICATIONS: All work must be original, unsold work, & the artist must own the sole copyright to art. Frames, mats & wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. No saw- tooth hangers work will be refused! Wiring must be securely fashioned & support weight of the artwork. All accepted work must remain for the duration of the exhibit. All artwork selected for exhibition MUST BE READY TO HANG. Unframed or improperly mounted work will not be accepted. The number of pieces allowed will vary depending on the artist’s medium, sizes and shapes of selected work and available wall space. NOTE: Those works not chosen for the Art Display Case will be able to exhibit in the NAMI-Lansing virtual gallery at namilansing.org/ccart
SHIPPING/DELIVERY (READ CAREFULLY): Artists are responsible for delivery, pickup, and insurance of artworks. All consideration and care will be taken by the installation crew in the handling of your work. Work must be delivered to the NAMI Lansing office no later than delivery date above. Upon closing of the Exhibit, artists can pick up their unsold work at the NAMI Lansing office
COMMISSION: NAMI-Lansing retains a 40% commission on all exhibition sales of displayed and on-line art.
SALES: Payment to Artist will be provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and NAMI Lansing receives full payment from buyer.

NOTIFICATIONS: Notifications are sent via email. Artists selected for exhibition should have their work prepared to deliver on time. Early applications are encouraged as exhibition considerations are made on a strict deadline.
